The Republic of Cape Verde becomes the 22nd ARIPO Member State.
Cape Verde has joined ARIPO by signing both the Banjul Protocol (trademarks) and the Harare Protocol (patents), and this adherence enter into force on October 14, 2022. This indicates that this country may be designated in the ARIPO trademarks and patents that are requested.
EPO and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce of Colombia (SIC) make their PPH fast-track programme permanent.
The PPH leverages fast-track patent examination procedures already available at the offices to allow applicants to obtain corresponding patents faster and more efficiently. It also permits each office to exploit the work previously done by the other office.
