ASEAN Intellectual Property Register launched

On 20 August 2023, ASEAN, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), launched the ASEAN Intellectual Property (IP) Register.The ASEAN IP Register is a one-stop IP information portal maintained by WIPO that will incorporate up-to-date IP data from all 10 ASEAN member states.

Changes to Geographical Indications law needed for EU-NZ Free Trade Agreement

In July 2023, New Zealand signed a free trade agreement with the European Union. Implementation of the agreement will require changes to the Geographical Indications (Wine and Spirits) Registration Act 2006.
