The Korean Intellectual Property Office Released a Statistical Report on AI Intelligent Quality Control Technology Patents
Recently, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced that the world’s top five intellectual property offices (IP5) have accepted global patent applications in the past decade (2011-2020), and found that South Korea ranks first in the world in patent applications for intelligent quality control technology using artificial intelligence (AI) image analysis (25.4%).

European Patent Office Invalidates Moderna’s Vaccine Patent
Despite the waning of the pandemic, the pharmaceutical giants involved in the development of COVID-19 vaccines continue to battle over intellectual property rights. In the latest episode of this patent war, the European Patent Office (EPO) has invalidated one of Moderna’s key patents in favor of BioNTech/Pfizer, according to the official website of the European Commission.
